This has been a pretty rough month overall, not a ton of good news, so it was nice to have a nice surprise as we prepare to move into March.

It was a long month with us sitting in second place for the better part of the competition. The day before the competition's end we shot into second. Myself, along with Brock (writer, also of SuperFogeys fame) and David Schlotterback (artist) were already preparing back up plans in case we didn't make it. Low and behold we won!

Thanks for everyone who came out and supported us, we couldn't have done it without all your help. Now I have to sit down and figure out how the hell I'm going to color the next 52 pages with everything else going on, hehe. It's a welcome problem.

Well the book landed in a huge way on Wednesday. Tons of favorable reviews, we even got a big shout out from the man Rich Johnston himself over at bleeding cool. In a little over 24 hours I sent out over 1,000 additional copies of the book itself to retailers and fans. Pretty exciting.

Tomorrow the first issue of our series The Stuff of Legend hits (July 29) So far early returns on the sales are promising, and we've gotten a fair amount of re-orders already. We sold out of our 100 copy Boogeyman Edition earlier today as well. I'm super excited and so is everyone else on the team. I think we may do a 500 copy version with a different cover, because we've had a lot of interest in picking the book up and this should still keep the initial version exclusive. Fingers crossed that it sells well in stores.

Comcast btw blows! No internet for over 5 days this month and the most recent day and half outage also killed my phone and television. Fios cannot get here soon enough.

Title pretty much says it all. I always intend to keep up with DA better than I do. Update for all of you 3 people who follow me. We're working on the second issue of Stuff of Legend, I need to start lettering and working on the color treatment for the pages or it's going to get very difficult to keep up. On top of that we are working to secure our first license over at Th3rd World Studios, more on that soon hopefully. Also working on getting everything converted over to the digital age.

Been a while since I posted on here (January in fact). Saw my buddy Mike is back on here, so I figure I should try to get back into the groove as well. Lot's of good stuff going down.

We're close to wrapping our end of production on the first animated series that Th3rd World Studios is contributing to. It is called MEAWO, a 30 episode animated series produced by Amer Kokh's Crazy Piranha animation studio.

We had a blast and look forward to working with them again, hopefully in the near future.

We also just got back from this year's Baltimore Comicon where we debuted the print editions of Eskimo Dave and our new web comic Superfogeys. There was a lot of great interest for them, and we look forward to now being able to get back into production on Dave now that the first print collection is in the can. (hint hint mike)

We are selling those through our site for anyone interested.

The baddies have finally arrived. This is one of my personal favorites artwise. it was a fun one to color. I'm still not super happy with how the first panel colors turned out, but alas time has expired and we can't miss a promised deadline.

Let us know what you guys think!

I've decided to post each Wednesday when dave goes live, just in case anyone who is interested forgets. We have picked up the pace and gotten into the core of the story in the newest episode.

This week, Dave sees his quest all mapped out in front of him! The question is, can he really walk that far, when it nearly killed him to cross the street?

Find out!

We finally managed to wrap up a couple of the posters that we're planning to have on hand for the Baltimore Comic Con if everything goes right. you can check em out here.

Once we get them all wrapped up I plan on posting a big collage image of them on here.

Also if anyone is looking for another blog to add to their weekly stops check out my good buddy Justin "Captain Supermarket" Robinson's blog called the Rant Aisle on the th3rdworld site. He goes on about everything from Superman Returns, to Degrassi, to the NBA. Good and more importantly funny stuff.

It was a long time in the making, but we finally finished the th3rd world studios website. Mostly side projects and freelance work were impeding the process, but last week we finally sat down moved the site to a new server and punched out the last remaining items that were needed to wrap it up. The site has everything from press releases about what we're working on to a gallery of the various covers and interior art to the forums, which have been active now for the better part of the year anyway.

Please check it out and let me know what you think. Also if you find anything that is not working for you or bugs etc please let me know.

Hey Gang,

This is my first journal entry. Thanks everyone for stopping by to check everything out. The comments and watch adds are much appreciated.

I'm currently in the process of wrapping up issue 1 of Arcana Studios Sabbath: The Unholy Knight.  Here is a link to the creators blog with more information about the series. Additionally I just got word that Shocker Toys will be releasing a line of Shockini's (their block figure line) for the series. Here is a link to the prototype images. In my gallery you will find page 13 of issue 1.  I also recently completed issue 4 of Dead Men Tell No Tales which should be coming out towards the middle of this month. (The cover is up in my gallery for this as well)

Right now I'm also in the process of producing several books that we intend to self publish. The search for an artist for one of the books is still on. It has been a daunting task trying to find someone.  Hopefully we can get some resolution in the coming weeks to this situation. Fortunately we have a professional writer with a few notches under this belt to lend more credibility to the search. Once we are farther along I wont be so cryptic and will be sure to post up more information and progress.

Thanks again all,

MD
